23 Orwell Place, Edinburgh

The contract at Orwell Place formed a tenemental property which remained in occupation throughout our works. The works carried out were extensive and throughout this time we ensured minimum disruption to all properties and pedestrian areas. Extensive repairs and rebuilding of natural stone chimneys were carried out, the complete stripping and reslating of the pitched sloped in Scotch slate including replacement of all lead flashing and associated detailing. The replacement of valley gutter coverings as well as cast iron gutters and downpipes as required.  The rear elevation was completely raked out and repointed as well as natural stone replacements where required.  The front elevation given the extremely poor nature of the natural stone was completely dismantled and rebuilt in new natural stone including tying into the existing inner leaf and the necessary rebuilding  works.
